Sk8skool is a non-profit corporation that promotes physical, social, and emotional well-being of student athletes utilizing skateboarding as a medium. We strive to accomplish change through accountability, academic goals, responsibility, competition, peer support, and substance education, one school and community at a time.

Founder Dan Giguere; a Middle School teacher at Sarasota School of Arts and Sciences.
"I teach Physical Education and serve as the coach for our basketball, soccer, golf, and skateboarding teams. I started a skateboard team at my school four years ago, (thanks to our wonderful director Pepar Anspaugh), and as a result I have seen an improvement in the student-athlete’s grades and behavior in the classroom. Our team is the first school-sponsored skateboarding team in the country, as far as my research shows. I have recently started a non-profit organization called Sk8skool in hopes to expand this team concept into the local and eventually national school systems. Sk8skool is sponsoring a school skateboard league that will give student-athletes the chance to engage in organized competition for their respective schools."
